Description
Sister cask to the series' fifth release, this is number six in the Lichtburg Historic Series from German independent bottler Rolf Kaspar, drawn from cask 22 of the same 2001 Bushmills parcel. Also 21 years old and bottled in 2022 for Germany, it runs to 196 bottles at a cask strength of 53.4%.
The maturation is again ex-bourbon throughout, but single casks from one parcel rarely read identically, and the appeal of the pair lies in the comparison. Expect the long aged Bushmills register of honey, orchard fruit, vanilla and soft oak spice from the triple distilled Co. Antrim spirit, delivered with the extra weight and texture that bottling at full strength preserves.
