Description
Scavi & Ray built Glitzer Pink as a novelty rosé Prosecco, a DOC pink fizz finished with a food safe shimmer that catches the light in the glass. It follows the house rosé recipe, a Glera base with a measure of Pinot Noir for colour and red fruit, and carries the brand's soft, low pressure carbonation. The wine is made in a tank based style that preserves fresh primary fruit and a fine mousse, and is finished Extra Dry with a touch more sweetness than a Brut.
The colour is a pale pink with a light glittering effect and a fine bead. The nose is fruity and fresh, with raspberry and strawberry over pear and green apple and a floral edge. On the palate it is light and softly fruity, the gentle sweetness balanced by fresh acidity, finishing clean and easy. Serve well chilled at 8 to 10 degrees in a white wine glass. Best suited to celebrations and parties, it works as a fun aperitif and pairs with salads, fruit desserts and lighter poultry.
