Ramos Pinto’s Fine White is a white Port fortified to 19%, made with light skin maceration and wood ageing that give it a richer build, with citrus, honey and toasted almond on a dry, buttery palate.

Description
The Fine White comes from Ramos Pinto in the Douro Valley, built from the region's white varieties of Codega do Larinho, Viosinho, Rabigato and Arinto. The wine is fermented with partial skin maceration, and that extended skin contact is a deliberate choice by the house to lend more weight and grip than most white Ports carry.
Fermentation is stopped by adding grape spirit, holding a modest level of natural sugar, near 100 grams per litre, so the wine reads richer than a bone-dry style yet finishes clean. Time in wood adds an oxidative layer, drawing out nut and buttery notes over the fresh fruit and settling the texture.
Golden-yellow in the glass, it offers citrus lifted by honey and almond, a fresh, delicate attack and a rich, buttery mid-palate that finishes dry with a taste of fresh fruit. Serve well chilled as an aperitif or over ice with tonic and citrus; it also suits salted almonds, hard cheese or a simple fruit tart.
