Martini Rossini

Martini Rossini is a ready-to-serve version of the classic strawberry sparkling aperitif, from Martini & Rossi. It is built on the house rosé sparkling wine, a lightly fizzy blend led by Glera with a portion of red grape for colour, combined with fresh strawberry to give the drink its rosy hue and fruity sweetness. Because it is a bottled aperitif rather than a straight varietal wine, the emphasis is on approachable fruit and a soft bead, and it is poured as it is with no mixing required.

The colour is a delicate rosé with a fine bead. The nose is dominated by fresh strawberry and a light floral freshness, and the palate is fruity and refreshing, with a hint of citrus and red berries carried on gentle bubbles into a lightly sweet close. Serve it well chilled in a wine glass as an aperitif. It suits fresh starters, salads, light seafood and simple pasta, and its strawberry character also carries a plate of summer fruit or a light fruit dessert.
