Description

From the Cask Reflections series, this 33 Year Old is a rare meeting of Littlemill and Mizunara, the prized and scarce Japanese oak, an outturn of 570 bottles at cask strength. An unusual finish for a lost Lowland malt, and a finite one.

Thirty-three years matured the light Lowland spirit through slow oxidation and gentle extraction, before a period in Mizunara, an oak rich in aromatic lactones, lent its hallmark sandalwood, incense and coconut spice.

At 49.1% the Mizunara adds that exotic, perfumed spice over Littlemill's soft Lowland fruit and lignin vanilla, mature and undiluted. A Mizunara-finished 33, from a distillery long closed.
