Presented in a copper dumpy bottle within a wooden box, this 28 Year Old is a collector's Littlemill, an outturn of 268 bottles at cask strength. Old Lowland spirit in fitting dress, from a distillery demolished in 2005.

Twenty-eight years in ex-Bourbon carried the light Lowland make to a deep maturity, the low-tannin oak giving vanillin and lactones slowly while oxidation built soft fruit and the angel's share eased the strength.

At 51.2% it shows vanilla over the soft, matured Lowland fruit, the elegance of a long-aged lost distillery. A copper-dumpy 28, scarce and unrepeatable.
