Littlemill 25 Years Old

A 25 Year Old from the Private Cellar Edition, Loch Lomond's series of late Littlemill releases, this one matured in Oloroso, an outturn of 1,500 bottles. A richer, sherried side of a famously light malt from a closed distillery.

Twenty-five years in Oloroso set European-oak structure against Littlemill's delicacy: the sherry's residual wine and melanoidins gave dried fruit and nutmeg, the higher tannins a dry, polished grip, while slow oxidation rounded it all.

At 50.4% the Oloroso lends fig, raisin, nutmeg and polished oak over the soft Lowland fruit, mature and undiluted. A sherried Private Cellar 25, and finite.
