Littlemill 21 Years Old HB Queen’s Diamond Jubilee (Hart Brothers)

Hart Brothers built its name on Glasgow-bottled single casks from the 1960s onward. This 21 year old Littlemill was bottled in 2012. With the distillery demolished and no new spirit possible, every bottle is drawn from a pool that only shrinks.

It spent twenty-one years in ex-Bourbon, long enough to round Littlemill's floral, fruity character.

At 46%, the bourbon cask lends vanilla and creamy fudge. Light, floral and buttery, the lost distillery's hallmark. In the ex-Bourbon cask, lignin breaks down to vanillin for the vanilla note, while oak lactones lend a soft coconut sweetness.
