Description

Murray McDavid, founded 1996 and now based at the former Coleburn distillery, bottles single casks. This bottling is an 18 year old Littlemill, laid down in 1990 and drawn off in 2008. No spirit has flowed at Bowling since 1992, leaving only the casks already filled.

It spent eighteen years in ex-Bourbon, long enough to round the silky, floral spirit.

Bottled undiluted at 53.5%, the bourbon wood lends vanilla and a clean oak edge. It carries citrus, vanilla, a yeasty note. Slow extraction from low-tannin American oak gives vanilla and a creamy sweetness without ever overpowering the make.
