Description
Copper Alley takes its name from one of the oldest lanes in Dublin's Liberties, and this 10 Years Old single malt appeared in 2016 under the First Ireland Spirits imprint, before the Dublin Liberties Distillery itself was built. The malt is sourced from an undisclosed Irish distillery, chosen and finished in the bonder tradition, and this bottling went to Belgium.
A decade in ex-bourbon casks laid down vanilla, citrus and fresh oak before a finishing spell in Oloroso sherry casks added dried fruit, walnut and sherried depth. Bottled at 46%, it shows the classic two cask Irish malt profile, orchard fruit and honey at the core with the sherry wood darkening the edges.
