Kilchoman Uniquely Islay Series – An T-Earrach 2025 6 Years Old 2019

This An T-Earrach 2025 spring release of Kilchoman's Uniquely Islay Series is a 6 year old from 2019 drawn from ex-Bourbon cask 19/1451. An outturn of 291 bottles for Germany. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, was the first new distillery on Islay in over 124 years.

The distillery malts its own barley and bottles on the farm, a barley to bottle approach. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask over six years, the wood frames the young peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 58.6%. The ex-Bourbon lends vanilla and citrus, the peat phenols a layer of smoke. The recorded notes run to a cooked vegetable note, a kippered maritime edge, a mossy earthiness, fresh oak, an oily texture and smoke. A young, maritime spring single cask.
