Description
This Kilchoman Triskele Casks is an Italian Exclusive small batch matured in red wine casks. An outturn of 1,260 bottles. Set up by Anthony Wills in 2005, Kilchoman remains Islay's only farm distillery.
The distillery grows and malts barley on site and bottles on the farm. Matured in red wine casks, the wine wood brings dark fruit and a drying grip to the young peated spirit.
Bottled at 48.3%. The red wine cask gives dark berry and plum with wine tannins, while peat phenols carry the smoke. A wine-matured small batch for the Italian market.
