Description
This is Batch 1 of Kilchoman from That Boutique-y Whisky Company, the small-batch bottler known for its graphic-novel labels. An ex-Bourbon release of 272 bottles for the UK. Set up by Anthony Wills in 2005, Kilchoman remains Islay's only farm distillery.
Every stage from malting to bottling happens at Rockside Farm. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks, the wood frames the young peated spirit.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.5%. Vanilla and citrus come from the ex-Bourbon wood, with peat phenols carrying the smoke. A small numbered batch from a characterful independent bottler.
