Description

This An Samhradh 2023 summer release of Kilchoman's Uniquely Islay Series is a 10 year old from 2013 matured in ex-Bourbon with Port, drawn from cask 488A. A tiny outturn of 73 bottles for Germany. Kilchoman is the only farm distillery on Islay, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005.

The distillery malts on site and bottles on the farm, keeping the whole process in one place. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon and Port cask, the wine wood adds a plummy note.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 49.1%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the Port plum and cherry, while peat phenols carry the smoke. A small-outturn summer single cask from the seasonal series.
