Description

An Geamhradh 2022 is the winter release of Kilchoman's Uniquely Islay Series, a 7 year old from 2015 matured in Pedro Ximenez, drawn from cask 330. An outturn of 329 bottles for Europe. The Wills family's Kilchoman, founded in 2005, is the only farm distillery on Islay.

Kilchoman handles malting through bottling on its own Islay farm. Matured in a single Pedro Ximenez cask, the sweetest of the sherry styles, the wood pulls the young peated spirit towards dark fruit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 57%. The PX lends raisin and date through its melanoidins, the peat phenols a smoky layer. The recorded notes run to chocolate, cooked fruit, dried fruit, fresh fruit, a kippered note and malt sweetness. A sweet PX winter single cask.
