Description

This is a sibling winter release in Kilchoman's Uniquely Islay Series, An Geamhradh, a 10 year old from 2010 drawn from ex-Bourbon cask 426. An outturn of 243 bottles for Germany. Anthony Wills founded Kilchoman in 2005; it is the only farm distillery on Islay.

At Rockside Farm the whole process runs from barley to bottle on one site. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask over ten years, the wood frames the young peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 56%. Vanilla and citrus come from the ex-Bourbon wood, with peat phenols carrying the smoke. A winter single cask, sibling to cask 425.
