The Sister Casks, A Maturation Journey pairs casks filled together to show how siblings diverge over time. This 15 year old from 2008 is one such Oloroso single cask, number 639, giving 271 bottles for Germany. Kilchoman opened in 2005 as the first new Islay distillery in over a century, and is the island's only farm distillery.

The distillery follows its barley from field to bottle on the one Islay farm. Matured in a single Oloroso cask over fifteen years, the sherry wood wraps the young peated spirit in dark fruit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 51.1%. From the Oloroso come dried fruit and a fig-and-raisin depth, while peat phenols bring the smoke. The recorded note is a cooked, savoury depth. One of a pair of sibling sherry casks.
