Description

This Tequila Finish Single Cask is an 8 year old from 2013, finished in a tequila cask, number 736, a sibling to cask 638. An outturn of 257 bottles. Kilchoman is Islay's only farm distillery, the first new distillery on the island in over 124 years when Anthony Wills founded it in 2005.

At Rockside Farm the whole process runs from barley to bottle on one site. Matured in ex-Bourbon and finished in a tequila cask, the agave wood adds an earthy, herbal note.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.7%. The tequila cask gives an earthy, vegetal edge over the bourbon vanilla, while peat phenols carry the smoke. A tequila-finished single cask.
