Kilchoman Small Batch Release 7 Years Old 2013

This Small Batch Release is a 7 year old from 2013, vatted from ex-Bourbon and Pinot Noir casks. An outturn of 497 bottles. Kilchoman is Islay's only farm distillery, the first new distillery on the island in over 124 years when Anthony Wills founded it in 2005.

At Rockside Farm the whole process runs from barley to bottle on one site. Matured in ex-Bourbon and Pinot Noir casks, the bourbon wood gives the base and the wine cask a soft berry note.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 56.6%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the Pinot Noir a red berry lift, while peat phenols carry the smoke. A wine-influenced small batch from the farm distillery.
