Kilchoman Small Batch 100% Islay 5 Years Old 2009

This Small Batch 100% Islay is a five year old from 2009, made entirely from Kilchoman's own Islay barley and drawn from three ex-Bourbon casks. An outturn of 712 bottles for Germany, at a powerful natural strength. Kilchoman is the only farm distillery on Islay.

Grown, malted, distilled and bottled at Rockside Farm, this is barley to bottle. The own-grown barley is lightly peated and matured in ex-Bourbon casks.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 60.7%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and citrus while gentle peat phenols carry the smoke, the high strength sharpening both. A powerful early small batch of the farm single malt.
