This Single Cask Release is a 3 year old from 2007, ex-Bourbon cask 211, a very young early Kilchoman. An outturn of 261 bottles for the Netherlands. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is the only farm distillery on Islay.
Kilchoman handles malting through bottling on its own Islay farm. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask, the wood frames the very young peated spirit.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 61.8%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and citrus while peat phenols drive the smoke, the youth keeping it raw and vivid. An early single cask.
