Description

This Single Cask was bottled for The Nectar, the Belgian importer, a 5 year old from 2007, Oloroso cask 455. An outturn of 330 bottles for Belgium. Set up by Anthony Wills in 2005, Kilchoman remains Islay's only farm distillery.

Every stage from malting to bottling happens at Rockside Farm. Matured in a single Oloroso cask, the sherry wood pulls the young peated spirit towards dark fruit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 59.3%. From the Oloroso come dried fruit and a fig-and-raisin depth, while peat phenols bring the smoke. A young sherried single cask for a Belgian importer.
