Description

This Single Cask was bottled for Beija Flor, an Oloroso single cask from 2007, number 453. An outturn of 310 bottles for Italy. Kilchoman opened in 2005 as the first new Islay distillery in over a century, and is the island's only farm distillery.

The distillery malts its own barley and bottles on the farm. Matured in a single Oloroso cask, the sherry wood pulls the young peated spirit towards dark fruit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 58%. Dried fruit comes from the Oloroso, its melanoidins reading as fig and raisin, with peat phenols carrying the smoke. A young sherried single cask.
