Description

This Single Cask is an 8 year old from 2016, matured in ex-Bourbon and Pinot Noir, cask 1099. An outturn of 246 bottles for the Netherlands. Set up by Anthony Wills in 2005, Kilchoman remains Islay's only farm distillery.

Kilchoman handles malting through bottling on its own Islay farm. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon and Pinot Noir cask, the wine wood adds a soft berry note.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.6%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the Pinot Noir a red berry lift, while peat phenols carry the smoke. A wine-influenced single cask for the Netherlands.
