Description

This Private Cask Release is a 13 year old from 2007, matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask. Cask 69 gave 215 bottles. Kilchoman, the island's only farm distillery, was founded by Anthony Wills in 2005.

Every stage from malting to bottling happens at Rockside Farm. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask, the wood frames the young peated spirit over thirteen years.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.5%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla while peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to smoke, honey, malt sweetness, a medicinal edge, a mossy earthiness and an oily texture. An older early-vintage single cask.
