Description

This Private Cask Release is a 12 year old from 2007, drawn from a single ex-Bourbon cask. Cask 15 gave 230 bottles for Germany. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is the only farm distillery on Islay.

The distillery malts barley on site and bottles on the farm, a barley to bottle approach. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask, the wood frames the young peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 54.8%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and citrus while peat phenols carry the smoke. A single cask from an early Kilchoman vintage.
