Description

This Private Cask Release is a 10 year old from 2007, an early Kilchoman matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask. Drawn from cask 57, it gave 251 bottles. Anthony Wills founded Kilchoman in 2005; it is the only farm distillery on Islay.

Kilchoman handles malting through bottling on its own Islay farm. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask, the wood frames the young peated spirit with vanilla and citrus.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 58.1%. Vanilla and citrus come from the ex-Bourbon wood, with peat phenols carrying the smoke. A single cask from one of the distillery's early years.
