Description

This Marsala Single Cask Finish is an 8 year old from 2014, finished in a Marsala cask, number 1010. An outturn of 240 bottles. Set up by Anthony Wills in 2005, Kilchoman remains Islay's only farm distillery.

The distillery malts on site and bottles on the farm, keeping the whole process in one place. Matured in ex-Bourbon and finished in a Marsala cask, the fortified wine wood adds a caramelised sweetness.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.6%. The Marsala gives caramelised brown sugar and dried fruit while peat phenols carry the smoke. A Marsala-finished single cask.
