Description

This Feis Ile 2015 Release was Kilchoman's bottling for the Islay festival, a 7 year old vatted from three ex-Bourbon casks from 2008. An outturn of 742 bottles. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is Islay's only farm distillery.

The distillery malts its own barley and bottles on the farm, a barley to bottle approach. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks over seven years, the wood frames the peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 58.2%. The ex-Bourbon lends vanilla and citrus, the peat phenols a layer of smoke. A festival bourbon vatting.
