Description

Comraich is a collaborative vatting Kilchoman made for the Comraich Bars group, this third batch a 9 year old from 2010. Kilchoman is Islay's only farm distillery, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005 on Rockside Farm.

The distillery malts its own barley and bottles on site, the barley to bottle approach. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks at full strength, the wood frames the young peated spirit cleanly.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.7%. Vanilla and citrus come from the ex-Bourbon wood, with peat phenols carrying the smoke. The recorded notes run to citrus, dried fruit, a mossy earthiness and smoke. A cask strength collaborative Kilchoman.
