Description

This Calvados Finish Single Cask is an 8 year old from 2014, finished in a Calvados cask, the French apple brandy wood, number 327. An outturn of 248 bottles for the Netherlands. Kilchoman is the only farm distillery on Islay, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005.

The distillery malts its own barley and bottles on the farm. Matured in ex-Bourbon and finished in a Calvados cask, the apple brandy wood adds an orchard fruit note.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.6%. The Calvados cask gives baked apple and a soft fruit sweetness while peat phenols carry the smoke. A Calvados-finished single cask for the Netherlands.
