Description

This Bourbon Matured Single Cask is a 7 year old from 2011, ex-Bourbon cask 274. An outturn of 266 bottles. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is the island's only farm distillery.

The distillery grows and malts barley on site and bottles on the farm. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask over seven years, the wood frames the peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 58.8%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and citrus while peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to citrus, a coal-gas edge, a cooked vegetable note, fresh fruit, a husky grain edge and fresh oak. A bourbon single cask.
