Description

This Bourbon Matured Single Cask is an 11 year old from 2008, ex-Bourbon cask 140. An outturn of 215 bottles. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is the island's only farm distillery.

Malting, distilling and bottling all happen on the farm, the barley to bottle way. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask over eleven years, the wood frames the peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.2%. The ex-Bourbon lends vanilla and citrus, the peat phenols a layer of smoke. The recorded notes run to citrus, a coal-gas edge, a fragrant lift, fresh fruit, dried hay and honey. A bourbon single cask.
