Kilchoman Batch Strength

Batch Strength is a Kilchoman bottled at full power, matured across red wine, Oloroso and ex-Bourbon casks. Kilchoman is the only farm distillery on Islay, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005.

The distillery malts on site and bottles on the farm, keeping the whole process in one place. Matured across red wine, Oloroso and ex-Bourbon casks, the three woods layer dark fruit, dried fruit and vanilla.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 57%. The red wine gives dark berry, the Oloroso dried fruit, the ex-Bourbon vanilla, while peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to smoke, fresh fruit, fresh oak, citrus, dried hay and an oily texture. A full-strength multi-cask farm malt.
