Description

The 100% Islay 9th Edition is Kilchoman's own-barley single malt at nine years old, drawn from 2007 stock. The range is the distillery's founding philosophy, grown and made entirely on its Islay farm. An outturn of 12,000 bottles.

Grown, malted, distilled and bottled at Rockside Farm, this is barley to bottle in full. The own-grown barley is lightly peated and matured in ex-Bourbon casks across nine years.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 50%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and citrus while gentle peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to vanilla, smoke, citrus, fresh fruit, malt sweetness and a dry sandy edge. The 2007 nine year old farm vintage.
