Description

La Maison du Whisky bottled this 8 year old 2014 Kilchoman as a 100% Islay single cask, made entirely from the distillery's own barley, from ex-Bourbon cask 321. An outturn of 250 bottles for France. Kilchoman opened in 2005 as the first new Islay distillery in over a century, and is the island's only farm distillery.

Grown, malted, distilled and bottled at Rockside Farm, this is barley to bottle from a single cask. The own-grown barley is lightly peated and matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 55%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and citrus while gentle peat phenols carry the smoke. A 100% Islay single cask from a French specialist.
