Description

The 100% Islay 13th Edition is Kilchoman's own-barley single malt at eight years old, from 2012. The range is the distillery's founding idea, grown and made entirely on its Islay farm. An outturn of 13,000 bottles. Kilchoman was the first new distillery on Islay in over 124 years.

Grown, malted, distilled and bottled at Rockside Farm, this is barley to bottle through and through. The own-grown barley is lightly peated and matured in ex-Bourbon casks.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 50%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and citrus while gentle peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to smoke, chocolate, honey, malt sweetness, citrus and fresh fruit. The 2012 eight year old farm vintage.
