Description

The 100% Islay 5th Edition is Kilchoman's own-barley single malt, a five year old from 2009. Made entirely from barley grown on the distillery's Islay farm, it is the founding range that defines Kilchoman. An outturn of 10,000 bottles.

Every stage from growing to bottling happens at Rockside Farm, a barley to bottle whisky unique on Islay. The own-grown barley is lightly peated and matured in ex-Bourbon casks.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 50%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and citrus while gentle peat phenols carry the smoke over the young farm spirit. The 2009 vintage of the 100% Islay philosophy.
