Description

The 100% Islay 4th Edition is Kilchoman's own-barley single malt at five years old, made entirely from grain grown on the distillery's Islay farm. An outturn of 12,000 bottles. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is the only farm distillery on Islay.

Grown, malted, distilled and bottled at Rockside Farm, this is barley to bottle in the fullest sense. The own-grown barley is lightly peated and matured in ex-Bourbon casks.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 50%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and citrus while gentle peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to a medicinal edge, citrus and smoke. The founding philosophy at five years.
