Description

This was the 11th Edition for The Kilchoman Club, a vatting of 2013 and 2014 spirit in ex-Bourbon and Marsala. An outturn of 771 bottles for Belgium. Kilchoman is the only farm distillery on Islay, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005.

Every stage from malting to bottling happens at Rockside Farm. Matured in ex-Bourbon and Marsala casks, the fortified wine wood adds a caramelised sweetness.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 53%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the Marsala caramelised brown sugar, while peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to citrus, a coal-gas edge, dried fruit, a husky note and a green leafy lift. A club Marsala vatting.
