Description

This Distillery Exclusive is a 5 year old Sauternes single cask from 2012, cask 209, sold at Kilchoman on Islay. An outturn of 290 bottles. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is Islay's only farm distillery.

The distillery follows its barley from field to bottle on the one Islay farm. Matured in a single Sauternes cask, the sweet wine wood adds honeyed fruit to the young peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 58%. The Sauternes gives honeyed apricot and candied citrus while peat phenols carry the smoke. A young Sauternes distillery exclusive.
