Kilchoman 15 Years Old Cask #644, 670, 16, 444, 513

This 15 Years Old is part of Kilchoman's 20th Anniversary Cask Series, released in 2025 to mark two decades since Anthony Wills opened the distillery in 2005. Vatted from five Oloroso casks from 2008, it was an outturn of 3,153 bottles. Kilchoman is the only farm distillery on Islay.

Kilchoman malts its barley on site and bottles on the farm, a barley to bottle approach rare in Scotch. Matured in Oloroso casks over fifteen years, the sherry wood wraps the peated spirit in dark fruit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 52.7%. From the Oloroso come dried fruit and a fig-and-raisin depth, while peat phenols bring the smoke. The recorded notes run to a coal-gas edge, dried fruit, leather, smoke, citrus and an oily texture. An anniversary sherried vatting.
