Description

This 13 Years Old is one of Kilchoman's older single releases, matured in ex-Bourbon. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is the only farm distillery on Islay.

The distillery grows and malts barley on site and bottles on the farm. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks over thirteen years, the wood deepens the peated spirit.

Bottled at 50%. The cask gives vanilla and citrus, and peat phenols carry the smoke through. The recorded notes run to fresh fruit, smoke, citrus, honey, fresh oak and vanilla. An older bourbon farm malt.
