Kilchoman 10 Years Old 2015 Cask #312/2015 (LMDW)

La Maison du Whisky bottled this 10 year old 2015 Kilchoman for its Collection Itinéraires, from Oloroso cask 312. An outturn of 318 bottles for France. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, was the first new distillery on Islay in over 124 years.

The distillery malts its own barley and bottles on the farm, a barley to bottle approach. Matured in a single Oloroso cask over ten years, the sherry wood wraps the peated spirit in dark fruit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 54.1%. The Oloroso lends fig and raisin through its melanoidins, the peat phenols a smoky layer. A sherried single cask from a French specialist.
