Description

The Loch is one of Isle of Jura's travel retail expressions, the island malt matured in ex-Bourbon and Pedro Ximenez casks, named for the island's lochs. Jura is the lone distillery on its remote Hebridean island, rebuilt in 1963 to revive the community.

The distillery's light, clean spirit takes deep sherry well. Matured in ex-Bourbon and Pedro Ximenez casks, the PX brings the sweetest of the sherry styles to the malt.

Bottled at 44.5%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the Pedro Ximenez raisin and date from its melanoidins. The recorded notes run to dried fruit, chocolate, seasoned oak, a yeasty note and a cooked, savoury fruit edge. A deep, sherried travel retail Jura.
