Isle of Jura Rare Vintage 30 Years Old 1990

The Rare Vintage 30 year old was distilled in 1990 and matured in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso casks, an outturn of 900 bottles. It belongs to Jura's prestige range of old vintages. The only distillery on the remote island of Jura was rebuilt in 1963, its tall stills set up for a light spirit.

The distillery's light, clean spirit takes sherry well over a long maturation. Matured in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso casks across 30 years, the woods build a sherried depth on the honeyed malt.

Bottled at 46.5%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the Oloroso dried fruit, melanoidins reading as fig and raisin with a walnut dryness. Deep, honeyed and sherried, with the weight of three decades. A sherried old vintage Jura.
