Isle of Jura Distillery Cask 16 Years Old 2008

This Distillery Cask was distilled in 2008 and drawn from ex-Bourbon single cask 1605, bottled at a cask strength 55.5%. The Distillery Cask line is filled for visitors to Jura itself. The island of Jura has just one distillery, rebuilt in 1963 to revive a community that had lost its trade.

The distillery's light, clean spirit shows well from a single cask over sixteen years. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask, the wood frames the honeyed malt at full strength.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.5%. The ex-Bourbon wood gives vanillin for vanilla and oak lactones for coconut, with maltol for toffee. Clean, honeyed and full at cask strength. A hand-filled distillery-only release Jura.
