Isle of Jura 27 Years Old Cask #590

This 27 year old was part of The Stillman's Dram, Isle of Jura's older prestige line, drawn from ex-Bourbon single cask 590. A vintage release from the 1990s, it offers a long-matured island malt. The distillery stands alone on the remote island of Jura, rebuilt in 1963 after six decades in ruins.

The distillery's light, clean spirit rewards long maturation. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask across 27 years, the wood deepens the honeyed malt.

Bottled at 45%. Vanilla and coconut come from the cask's vanillin and oak lactones. The recorded note is a coal-gas mineral edge over the waxy, aged fruit. A long-matured Stillman's Dram Jura.
