From the bottler Acla da Fans, a 28 year old Glen Moray, distilled in 1990, bottled at 50.9%, one of 128 bottles. Glen Moray is a Speyside single malt from Elgin, known for its light, fruity and accessible style. It is known for excellent value, with age statements priced more keenly than most.

Distilled from unpeated malt in copper pot stills, for the light, fruity make Glen Moray is known for. A bourbon barrel held it, the wood adding a light vanilla and a soft honey. Through the evaporative decades the spirit concentrates, esters folding into dried fruit, beeswax and a soft honey. Long ageing turns the fresh apple towards dried fruit, honey and a soft spice. It was built on Gallow Hill at Elgin, the old site of the town's hangings. The light spirit suits a wide range of cask finishes, from sherry to rum. River Lossie water and the tall stills give the light Glen Moray make.

At cask strength 50.9% it is full bodied. Baked apple, vanilla and a creamy toffee, with a soft vanilla from the oak. A soft fruit and a gentle oak give it depth. A fresh finish ends on apple and a soft oak. This is a light, fruity Speyside single malt.
