Description
Freixenet's Carta Rosado sits in the house's accessible everyday range, a fruit-led Spanish sparkling rosé built for easy drinking rather than long ageing. The style is tank-fresh and primary, keeping the emphasis on bright red-berry fruit and a lively bead. A touch of residual sugar softens the profile, so while the label reads Dry it drinks with a gentle roundness that makes it approachable across a range of occasions. This is a straightforward pink fizz for the aperitif hour and relaxed gatherings.
The colour is a delicate rosé with a lively perlage. The nose shows red berries, strawberry and raspberry. The palate is fresh and balanced, with clear fruitiness and a subtle sweetness, closing on a refreshing finish. Serve well chilled at 6 to 8 degrees in a flute or tulip glass. It works as an aperitif and suits light starters, antipasti, salads and finger food, and its fruit carries through to berry desserts.
